The Life of Birds at House of Illustration

As part of the House of Illustration's Accessible day for Families particularly creating activities for deaf and disabled children, I delivered a drop-in workshop responding to the current exhibition in the gallery: Quentin Blake - The Life of Birds and my own art practice. The theme of birds is a very important part and research within my own practice so this seemed very fitting for the workshop and I am keen to use some of the art we made and photographs taken to develop my research further.

Families were encourage to make bird sculptures out of found materials and modroc and hang them up in the learning space, we also decorated them with tissue paper printing.
