INSTALLATIONS

My installation based works stem from my participatory practice and education work. They are part of the research and exploration of my practice and enable me to draw in participation and make these installations interactive and meaningful to thoses engaging with them.

My most recent installation is a floating stone circle suspended in the trees at Bunhill Fields Burial Ground (2022/23) 'Collector' is a participatory piece made in response to a year of being the 'Artist Educator in Residence' at St. Luke's Community Centre as a part of a wider Islington Heritage project. I have exhibited in the October Gallery, London where I drew together my printmaking practice, combining personal experiences and familiar landscapes of home with the participatory educational work and research I have been undertaking with various groups. It recreates a safe place, den, nest or cocoon using natural materials and then incorporates the work of many children to represent flight and migration, linking back to the themes of the exhibition 'Lost and Found: An Exploration of Immigration and Imagination.' 

I continue to extend my installation based practice by exploring nest building with my printmaking practice as well as incorporate my love for maps and combining old cartography with the new digital era and online maps.
